Pearson support pleases Moore

11 October 2012

Leicester teenager Liam Moore is keen to repay the faith shown in him by manager Nigel Pearson.

The defender, who can be deployed as a centre-half or right-back, has stepped into the breach following injuries to Sean St. Ledger and Ritchie De Laet. Foxes academy graduate Moore, 19, has attributed his impressive performances in the duo's absence to Pearson's support.

Moore, who recently signed a new three-year deal at the King Power Stadium, told the club's official website: "The gaffer has filled me with confidence and shown that, if I'm needed, he'll put me in without a second thought."

He added: "To know the gaffer has that type of confidence in you, and not bringing in people ahead of you, is a great feeling."

Moore was also full of praise for his skipper and fellow defender Wes Morgan, saying: "It's great to have that experience next to you, talking to you and letting you do what you do best. There's no added pressure on me."
