Plymouth midfielder Jamie Lowry stepped up his efforts to return from injury with a 60-minute cameo in a specially-arranged friendly on Tuesday.
Lowry took to the pitch for the first time since damaging ankle ligaments in a pre-season friendly in July as Argyle came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Exeter at Home Park.
Coach Kevin Nancekivell, who took charge of the Pilgrims, was impressed with Lowry's comeback performance.
"He's not there yet, but it's great to see him back on the pitch," he told the club's official website. "He's been training with us for a couple of weeks and this was the next step.
"It was a good hour. I thought he did very well and got stronger as the game went on."
