League agrees new betting partnership

18 October 2012

The Football League has agreed a partnership with concierge betting service Bet Butler, which will see the company become the Official Betting and Gaming Provider of The Football League.

The ground-breaking two-year agreement enables betting fans to support their football team financially, with clubs earning their share of cash based on winning and losing bets. This means that over 80 clubs included in the deal will benefit every time a fan places a bet. With millions of fans spanning The Football League, this could make a significant contribution to club finances.

Thanks to Bet Butler's unique technology, Football League fans will be offered the best available odds from more than 60 different bookmakers without the need to open up multiple accounts.

Football League Chief Commercial Officer, Richard Heaselgrave, said: "This is a really innovative partnership that delivers a fantastic win-win situation for supporters. They will get the best odds in the marketplace and their club will benefit directly from their betting activity."

Chris Bell, Chairman of Bet Butler, added: "I am delighted by this deal that benefits both The Football League clubs and supporters. It is a marvellous endorsement of our unique technology which will offer the fans the best available price, but also deliver an important revenue stream for their club."
