Stevenage's unbeaten home record in npower League 1 came to an end as Paolo Di Canio's Swindon Town team powered to a 4-0 victory at the Lamex Stadium.

Raffaele De Vita put Swindon in front after 17 minutes and Matt Ritchie doubled the lead in the 31st minute. Tommy Miller missed a spot-kick three minutes later, but it was 3-0 in the 38th minute when Miles Storey fired in Ritchie's cross and substitute Adam Rooney had only been on the pitch a minute when he completed the rout.

A first home defeat in eight meant Stevenage dropped a place to third in the table, which continued to be led by Tranmere Rovers, who came from behind to earn a 1-1 home draw with Preston North End .

Tranmere's lead is two points over both Stevenage and CrawleyTown, who edged up to second place after a 1-1 home draw with Oldham Athletic.

Two goals in quick succession during the second half saw Notts County slump 2-0 at home against Doncaster Rovers, who edged ahead of them in the Play-Off places. Paul Keegan made Rovers' breakthrough after 61 minutes and Chris Brown added a second two minutes later.

Milton Keynes Dons' former Manchester United stars Luke Chadwick and Alan Smith led Karl Robinson's side to a 3-0 win at Scunthorpe United.

Eddie Howe remains unbeaten after four games of his second spell as Bournemouth's manager following a 4-2 win at Carlisle United, secured by two goals from Mark Pugh and further efforts from Lewis Grabban and Lee Barnard. Liam Noble and David Symington scored in reply.

A pair of own goals, including one from the head of Tony Craig in the 90th minute, gave Hartlepool United a 2-2 draw at Brentford.

Asa Hall came off the bench to head two late goals that gave Shrewsbury Town a 2-2 draw against Colchester United, while David McGoldrick's seventh-minute strike gave Coventry City a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient, while Bury held Walsall 1-1 at Gigg Lane.

Will Grigg gave Walsall a fourth-minute lead, but Dominic Poleon drilled in a leveller seven minutes later.
