Middlesbrough striker Lukas Jutkiewicz has been ruled out for up to five weeks with a knee injury.
Jutkiewicz, 23, suffered the injury in training and scans later revealed a Grade 2 tear in a lateral knee ligament. Boro's top scorer missed the start of the season after undergoing surgery during the summer on his other knee.
"He's had a scan and he's seen a specialist and it doesn't seem that he needs an operation," manager Tony Mowbray told the Evening Gazette.
He added: "It was a training ground collision, nothing out of the ordinary but unfortunately Lukas suffered some damage. Hopefully it just needs time to heal."
The former Coventry man joined Boro on loan in January before making the move permanent.
