Chopra dilemma for Jewell

5 October 2012

Manager Paul Jewell must decide whether to start Michael Chopra in Ipswich's televised clash at home to former club Cardiff on Saturday.

The striker is fit having returned to the fold for Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Brighton following a groin injury.

However, Chopra attracted the headlines for all the wrong reasons on Thursday having been one of nine people charged in connection with race-fixing by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA).

Jewell must now make a decision on the frontman's state of mind ahead of the 5.20pm kick-off.

Midfielder Luke Hyam missed out in midweek with a back injury and will again sit out versus the Bluebirds, as will long-term absentee Paul Taylor (foot).

Richie Wellens, who joined Ipswich on a one-month loan from Leicester on Thursday, is likely to go straight into the squad.
