Cardiff striker Craig Bellamy has made a donation of over ?4000 for the children of a woman killed in a series of hit and run incidents in the city earlier this month.
The 31-year-old mother of three Karina Menzies died in the collisions on October 19 and a collection at the Bluebirds' clash with Watford last Tuesday saw ?4,155 raised for her family by supporters - a total matched by the Welshman.
In addition to that amount the football club donated ?1,690 meaning the total reached ?10,000.
Cardiff spokesman Barrie McAuliffe told the BBC: "The club are honoured to add to the total raised thanks to two very generous individuals indeed.
"Craig Bellamy, as pledged, is matching the funds raised on Tuesday night as a personal commitment to his local links.
"Cardiff City principal investor Tan Sri Vincent Tan has also confirmed his wish to see the total funds raised that night reach ?10,000 on behalf of the club, recognising our place and responsibilities within the wider community."
