AFC Wimbledon have bolstered their defensive options by acquiring Bournemouth left-back Jonathan Meades on a two-month loan deal.
Meades, 20, worked with Dons boss Neal Ardley when the pair were at Cardiff's academy prior to his summer switch to the Cherries.
The defender will go straight into Ardley's squad for their npower League Two clash at Exeter on Tuesday night along with fellow new recruit Jake Reeves.
Ardley told the club's official website: "Jonathan came through the academy when I was at Cardiff. A big plus is that he can play in a number of positions.
"Though he is a left-back, he can also play in midfielder and that is why I wanted him ahead of other players.
"Jonathan was in the same Under-16s team at Cardiff as Adam Matthews, who is now at Celtic, but a few niggling injuries stopped him getting into the first-team squad at Cardiff."
