Forest keep it in the family

15 December 2012

Omar Al Hawasi has stood down as Nottingham Forest chairman and will be replaced by his cousin Fawaz.

Omar has been in charge at the City Ground since the Al Hawasi family's takeover in the summer but he will now make way due to personal reasons.

Fawaz said in a statement: "I would like to thank my cousin Omar for all the hard work he has put in since I took over the club in the summer. I'm looking forward to taking over as chairman and intend to spend even more time at the club. I'm sure we will continue to go from strength to strength."
