18 December 2012

Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray became the first player to break the 60 points barrier this season after scoring a brace against Birmingham City. Murray took his Phones 4u Fantasy Football tally to 64 points by netting both Eagles goals in a 2-2 draw.

Kirk Broadfoot bagged a goal and a clean sheet worth six points as Blackpool got the better of Lancashire neighbours Blackburn Rovers by two goals to nil. The Scottish stopper wrapped up the win inside the final 10 minutes and was able to enjoy his first clean sheet of the campaign.

French striker David Ngog scored both Bolton Wanderers goals in their 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic and was rewarded with six points. Ngog entered the game just after the hour mark and his six-minute double put the encounter beyond the Londoners.

Jerome Thomas and Tom Lees combined for five points apiece as Leeds United beat Ipswich Town 2-0. Marvin Emnes, Lewis Buxton and Gareth Roberts all matched their displays, while Lee Tomlin's efforts in Peterborough United's win over leaders Cardiff City was worth four.
