Barnsley have signed Polish midfielder Tomasz Cywka on a one-year contract.
Cywka has been looking for a new club after being released by Barclays Premier League newcomers Reading this summer.
The 23-year-old arrived in English football in 2006, signing for Wigan from Polish side Gwarek Zabrze before going on loan to Oldham and then Derby, where he eventually signed a permanent deal in 2010.
In January of this year he went out on loan to Reading before signing a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Cywka has represented Poland at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.
