Kieran Trippier insists he is happy at Burnley and envisages his immediate future being with the npower Championship club.
Former Manchester City trainee Trippier was one of the Clarets' leading lights last term and has carried his impressive form into the opening matches of this season.
The 21-year-old was the subject of summer speculation over his future, but confirmed Burnley received no approaches for his services.
"There were not phone calls," he said. "Obviously there were links, apparently, about going to Newcastle and a few other clubs.
"But I didn't hear anything and the club didn't hear anything so as far as I know I'm here now, a Burnley player.
"I'm happy to be here because I want to get as many games as I can and progress.
"If I do play in the Premier League, when it happens it happens."
