Walsall have handed a contract to left-back Andy Taylor.
The 26-year-old, released by Sheffield United earlier this summer, signed for the Saddlers on non-contract terms on Tuesday before making an impressive debut in the club's 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat at QPR.
And that has convinced manager Dean Smith to tie him down.
Taylor told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased to have signed a deal here at Walsall and now I just want to play regularly, regain my top form and, importantly, start enjoying my football again.
"It's a nice set-up here with everything we need to be successful and progress. We've got a good group of young and hungry lads, while the gaffer and Richard O'Kelly (assistant) have been spot on with me over the past few weeks I have been here.
"Hopefully things are in place for us to kick on now and have some success. The style of play suits my game down to the ground; I like to get forward, try and make things happen and generally have an influence on the game."
