Long-serving midfielder Marvin Elliott says Bristol City are targeting promotion ahead of the new season.
The Jamaica international, currently recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, has seen his team-mates win four of their six pre-season games after ending last season with an eight-match unbeaten league run.
"Every season the target is the same, to get promoted. That is all any of us want," Elliott told the Post.
"The gaffer has made some good signings and the competition for places is really hot.
"If you look at our results in pre-season and at what we did towards the back end of last season, you can see a real momentum building."
