Nottingham Forest have made their fifth signing of the summer by landing Simon Gillett.
It is the second time the 26-year-old has linked up with boss Sean O'Driscoll, who signed him for Doncaster in 2010.
The midfielder joins as a free agent as Doncaster were unable to offer him a new contract following their relegation from the npower Championship.
Forest chairman Omar Al Hasawi told the club's official website: "Simon is a player that Sean knows well from his Doncaster days and we are delighted to welcome him to the club."
Gillett began his career at Southampton and had loan spells at Walsall, Blackpool, Bournemouth and Doncaster before moving permanently to the Keepmoat Stadium in 2010.
