Watford have again used their links with Udinese to sign defender Marco Cassetti on a season-long loan.
Cassetti becomes the fifth player this summer to arrive on loan from the Italian club, while a further two have also been snapped up from Spanish side Granada, with both teams run by Watford's new owners the Pozzo family.
The versatile 35-year-old, a former Italy international, earned his introduction to Serie A football with Verona in 2000.
Cassetti then switched to Lecce in 2003, with whom he earned international recognition with five full caps, before moving to Roma in 2006 and gaining Champions League experience.
After six seasons he left Roma earlier this summer to sign for Udinese.
