A goal either side of half-time saw Bristol City defeat Shrewsbury Town in the final of the Kinder+Sport Girls Cup at Wembley.
The match took place prior to kick-off in the Checkatrade Trophy Final, and it was Gordano School, representing the Robins, who made the first triumphant walk of the day up the Wembley steps.
The City youngsters got off to a flyer thanks to striker Emily Edwards, who broke free of the defence to nestle a fine effort into the bottom corner.
Shrewsbury created chances of their own, but couldn't find a way through before the half-time whistle.
In the second half, the Robins were forced to defend astutely and stood firm to the test before grabbing what proved to be the winner courtesy of Keira Howse.
That goal sealed victory for the girls from Gordano School, crowning Bristol City as the Kinder+Sport Girls Cup champions of 2017.
After the match, Gordano's Teacher of PE and coach of Year 8 girls football, Mr Yau, spoke of his appreciation for the tournament.
"It's a fantastic initiative to increase participation levels in girls football," he explained. "Kinder+Sport and the EFL do a great job of running this tournament.
"It wouldn't be possible, though, without the help of the local football community and Bristol City themselves - it's nice to get them some silverware!"
