The EFL maintains regular dialogue with Sky Sports to ensure that any Sky Bet EFL matches set to be displaced for live coverage are done so as soon as is practically possible. In a joint commitment by both the EFL and Sky Sports, decisions on televised fixtures are to be made at a minimum of 5 weeks before the match to assist attending supporters.

The EFL has also agreed two major deals for national radio rights, signing three-year agreements with talkSPORT and the BBC to secure high-profile broadcast platforms for all EFL Clubs for the 2017/18 season onwards.

talkSPORT have secured exclusive live commentary rights across the Sky Bet EFL and Sky Bet Play-Offs as well as non-exclusive rights to the Carabao Cup, which they will share with the BBC.  Both outlets will have the ability to broadcast score flash updates across all three EFL Sky Bet divisions, the Carabao Cup and the Papa Johns Trophy.
